I've passed Umi many many times but due to food allergies I never went. We asked the two gentlemen if there was anything I could have, explained my allergies and they only had a single cooked item I could eat. Not only did they offer to make me an item that would be acceptable but they were hyper aware and cleaned the grill and even waited to cook the next person's item. Even explaining why. The chicken teriyaki was tasty, will definitely order again, on that alone. But the attention to detail for some food allergies was top notch. They could have said sorry, no. But instead made sure I had a safe meal. We will be back forsure!

The gentlemen here were extremely accommodating in regards to my spouse's nightshade (peppers etc) allergy. The grill was scrapped down so there wouldn't be any contamination from previous meals. Food is hot in temperature and appropriately spicy, staff is approachable and samples are given. We will be back.

I was walking by and almost missed them when the guy called to see if I want to try their special. The price was better than the other stores so I give it a shot and the food was actually pretty good. I like that they cook it fresh and everything was done very nicely with the noodles and teriyaki chicken. The guy who called my attention first was a nice guy and he did a good job cooking up the food. It was a pleasant surprise I discovered this place. I will stop by again next time I’m in the mall. The special was easily three dollars less than what was available next door.

Delicious chicken teriyaki, udon soup, ramen soup, bubble tea. I've been coming to this location for chicken teriyaki with rice for over 17 years. The staff here also offer free samples. Always delicious food, always friendly and good service! Also the general tao chicken is crispy and tasty, not soggy at all. The stir fried beef with vegetables in teriyaki sauce is amazing as well.

It was a great experience for the place, Their chicken flavours are so amazing the sweet and spicy, spicy it was amazing The service was the best by JOEL , he was very friendly and also gave us some sample to taste. I suggest everyone to visit here once.

I have NEVER been disappointed when I come to the mall and grab a bite to eat here. Consistently good. The gentleman working is always very friendly and quick to offer a sample of something to try. He has never steered me wrong. Definitely my go to snack at the mall!

Value Combo Meal fills up two people fairly well. Their Hawaiian chicken is a great choice for protein. The noodles definitely needs more sauce and the salad is meh. Overall it was very very tasty, as for the sides spring roll was a good bang for your buck, and the dumplings were cold.

Best food in the Fairview Mall food court. They are so helpful and friendly, items customized. They fried my steamed rice and added a bit of spicy sauce as I requested. Chicken is tender and good quality. I have tried a few flavours and they are all tasty. Try a free sample as you walk by.
